A small deciduous tree from North America, typically growing to 20-30 feet (6-9m), taking around 15 years to reach this height, although staying much smaller if grown within a potBeautiful soft pink flowers cover the bare branches in the spring, before bronze-red heart-shaped leaves unfurl. Leaves later turn green and then yellow before falling in autumn
Fully hardy to -15ºC (5ºF). Very young plants should have their new growth protected from very hard frosts
