Corycium nigrescens is an earth orchid that is native to southern Africa and grows to around 60 cm high. The sepals are light green and later turn black. The petals are purple-black to black. The lip is purple-green.

3. Sowing the orchid seeds using the so-called 'towel method'
4. Sowing over boiling water
