Fargesia fungosa
Fargesia fungosa
Fargesia fungosa, syn. Borinda fungosa is a hardy, medium-high bamboo (approx. 3 m - 4 m) with clumpy (not sprouting) growth. The stalks (approx. 2 cm in diameter) are green when young, but later turn increasingly red.
Soak the bamboo seeds in lukewarm water (approx. 30 C) for 24 hours.
let them swell in water and put them in a plastic pot.
Spread some seeds on the peat pot and cover thinly with the Jiffy substrate (about 2 mm).
Then place the plastic pot in a zip-lock bag - for a 6 cm pot size, a 120 x 170 mm zip-lock bag is recommended. Put enough tap water in the zip-lock bag with a few drops of universal fertilizer so that a few mm of water remain after the substrate has been vacuumed up.
Location: on the window sill or in a mini greenhouse in partial shade, during the day the temperatures should be around 27 - 32 C, at night a little lower at 25 - 28 C.
price is for 15 seeds
