Jacaranda Mimosifolia
Exotic-looking Brazilian tree with fragrant, vivid lilac-blue clusters of trumpet shaped flowers in summer. Perfect for Bonsai, containers and indoors as a houseplant as it will flower when still quite small and tolerates pruning well. Not a frost tolerant tree so it will need to be overwintered in a frost free place, but when mature it will withstand a light frost. Lovely trained as a standard.
Sow indoors at any time. Prior to sowing nick or scarify seed and soak overnight in warm water. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover with a sprinkling of soil. Ideal temp. 20-27°C. Germination takes 10-15 days approx. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots and grow on under glass. Only move outside in the UK during warm weather.
price if for 20 seeds
