Echinacea purpurea is a North American species of flowering plant in the sunflower family. It is native to eastern North America and present to some extent in the wild in much of the eastern, southeastern and midwestern United States as well as in the Canadian Province of Ontario
Sow seeds in cell packs or flats, press into soil and cover lightly. Kept at 70°F., germination averages 21-28 days. Can direct sow into prepared seed beds ⅛ in. deep in groups of 3-4 seeds, spaced 18-24 in. apart. Thin to the strongest seedling
